Charles Herbert "Chuck" Wilkes

Herbert Wilkes Beloved Father, Papa, Brother, and Friend was born on May 19th, 1958 and passed away on Saturday, October 16th, 2010. Chuck was a Humboldt county native who loved Humboldt county living. He loved driving his logging truck more than anything else. He enjoyed all of his fellow truck drivers. The conversations and waves driving down the road always made has day. He also enjoyed visiting local casinos, bowling, and going on coca-cola classic runs. He thought of everyone he met as a friend. He was the kindest and most generous man I have ever know. He would give you the shirt off his back or the $20.00 he did not even have to give. He also loved his family very much and really enjoyed having his family gathering. His annual Easter barbeque and Christmas dinner were the get-togethers he enjoyed most. He was proceeded in death Sherman Humprey and Candy Waterson. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Humprey, partner; Angela Pearce, siblings; Rita Peppers, Laura and Allen Edwards, Danny and Sharold Stevens, and Lenore Stevens, daughters; Sarah , Tabitha , Sabrina , Amanda , Natasha , and Vanessa, grandchildren; Grayce, Melissa, Angela, Riley, Corbin, and Estrella. Chuck is the type of man that will be missed by all who knew him. He will also be greatly missed by his best friend Bill Calkins and long time family friends Launa Salsbery and Jeremy Campbell and their families.
