Eunice Bolsinger-Upton Obituary

Born- Fife, Wash. April 27, 1917; Died- Anaheim Hill, CA-October 25, 2010 Eunice is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws Dennis and Debbie Bolsinger, Gary and Patty Upton and her daughter Marla Bolsinger. Eunice has nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Eunice lived a life of challenge and adventure from Washington State where she married her first husband Melvin Bolsinger in 1941. They had two children Dennis and Marla. They moved from Washington to Valdez, Alaska in 1949 where they owned a trucking company. They moved to Wrangell, Alaska where they owned a logging business. In September of 1955 Mel died in a plane accident and Eunice moved to Arcata, CA and went to work for her brother's at Walker Logging. When Walker Logging sold to U.S. Plywood she stayed on with the new owners and soon met and eventually married Gene Upton and had a second son Gary. When US Plywood sold she went to work for Wayne Bare Trucking where she was office manager until she retired at 72 years old. After Gene died in 1991 Eunice became a snow bird with a mobile in Yuma, Arizona. In 1998 Eunice moved her mobile next to her son and daughter-in-laws house in St. Paul, Oregon where she resided until her death. After she moved her mobile to Oregon Eunice traveled between her daughter Marla's house in Arcata where she still has many friends and her son Gary's house in L.A. Eunice didn't know a stranger; she made friends as easily as talking to someone. We will miss her friendliness and laughter, but she will always remain in our hearts. A family memorial will be held in Alaska in September. Please sign the guest book at www.Times-Standard.com, click obits.

Kim and Jordan, Losing someone we love is always hard to accept and the pain is almost to much to bear, I believe your love will outlast the pain of the grief you're feeling. The treasured memories will always live deep in your heart and one day those memories will be a tremendous comfort to you. Until the day when you can smile again I hope it helps to know how sorry I am and how much I care. Jo
