Harry Paul Blake

passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his children on October 27, 2010. He was the youngest son of Roy and Lena Blake of McKinleyville. He was the last surviving brother to Howard, Eugene, Belle Shannon and Mary Fassett. Harry's beloved wife of 60 years, Goldie A. Blake passed away September 20, 2006. His is survived by his children: Paul Blake; Sharon Knife, 2 grandsons and 2 great-grandchildren; Thomas Blake, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; and Cynthia Molander, 3 grandsons and 3 great-grandsons. He graduated from Arcata High School. He served in the Navy repairing ships in Pearl Harbor during WWII. He, also briefly served in the United States Army. He worked over 20 years in a supervisory role for Humboldt State University Plant Operations. His greatest loves were his wife and their children and grandchildren. He loved riding his horse Andy, doing carpenter work and spending time visiting with family and friends. He was very much loved by his family and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
