(Gloria June Ehret)
(Gloria June Ehret) With family at her side, June Ehret went to be with her Heavenly Father on the 17th on May, 2012, at the age of 85. She will be forever missed. Gloria June Bramlett was born on February 20th, 1927 in Clarksville, Arkansas, to Joe and Ellene Bramlett. Her family moved to California when June was nine years old. She married the love of her life, John Ehret, and moved to the Eureka area with John and their three little girls in 1951. John and June remained head-over-heels in love and enjoyed many happy adventures together, including traveling, back packing, fishing, and water skiing. They celebrated their 68th anniversary prior to his passing in 2010. June was a very talented lady. She could play the piano and the guitar, and had a lovely voice. She was an accomplished seamstress and made all of her children's clothing when they were young. She even made a leather coat for John from tanned hide of one of his elk. She grew gorgeous flowers, and created many lovely center pieces for the Christian Women's Club of Eureka. Most importantly, June was a gifted artist, and painted many beautiful oil paintings that now hang in the homes of loved ones. Family was everything to June. She was a force, like gravity, that held all of us together and kept us grounded. She knew all of out strengths, weaknesses, passions, mistakes, and accomplishments, and was our full-time cheerleader. Some of her happiest times were spent at the cabin near Trinity Lake, where the family often gathered to have fun on the patio boat and go water skiing. She was the center of our lives. We will forever remember her twinkling eyes of blue, her million-dollar smile, and her heart of pure gold. June leaves behind her daughters, Dianne Ehret McGuire and her husband Frank, and Janet Holmes and her husband Paul. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marc Slade (Michelle), Jan Jackson Mays (Todd), Shelley Nilsen (Nathan), Jeni Hines (Tony), and Jaime Hague (Matt). June had nine great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Falicia, Mariah, Cameron, Kolby, Parker, Morgan, Jocelyn, and Emmalise, and two great- great- grandchildren, Landon and Isabella. She is also survived by her dear brother, Bob Bramlett (Janice) and her sister Sharon Bermele, her sisters-in-law Betty Ehret and Irene Wilks (Bob), her brothers-in-law Forest Ehret and Grady Pippin, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Ehret, her daughter, Sandy Slade, her baby boy that died at birth, her parents Joe and Ellene Bramlett, her parents-in-law Carl and Vera Ehret, her sisters Josephine Boyles and Linda Pippin, her son-in-law Terry Slade, her brothers-in-law Bob Ehret, Charles Ehret, and Bill Boyles, her sister-in-law Mary Ehret, and her great-great granddaughter, Teagan. The family would like to thank Dr. Senffner and the doctors and nurses at Mad River Community Hospital for giving her such wonderful care, and Pastor Chris Wickizer who attended to her spiritual needs at the end of her life. A celebration of June's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th, at Faith Center Church, 1032 Bay Street, Eureka. A reception will follow at the home of Dianne and Frank McGuire.
