Leopoldine Powell

Powell Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away October 28, 2010 at the age of 81 after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. Born March 4, 1929 in the Czech Republic, relocated to Germany during World War II was employed as a lab tech with Semens Company where they helped improve on the first transistors. It was here where she met and married a young American Airman, George Powell November 29, 1957. They moving to the United States 1960, and finally ending up in Eureka California in 1963, where she started her family. Polly raised two children kept an immaculate house all while working at the historical Ingomar Club. Polly loved the outdoors, mushroom and berry picking, working in her garden and spending time with her friends and family. Polly is survived by her husband George Powell, of 52 years son Michael and wife Christina Powell of Springfield Oregon. Daughter Heidi and husband Mike Faulk of Pensacola Fl., Grandchildren Eric and wife Regina Faulk, Peter and wife Riane Faulk, Jessica Faulk, Christopher Faulk, Great Grandchildren Alan, Matthew and Konner Faulk all of Pensacola Fl. and Sister Elsie Hausl of Schonau Germany. Polly is preceded in death by her parents Balthasar and Maria Hausl. The family would like to thank all her physician and care givers.
