Matias Salas MATIAS SALAS, 57, died on November 16th, 2013. He was born on March 14th, 1956, in Eureka, the son of Israel Salas and Juana Salas. Matias was a member of the U.S. Air force from 1974-1979. He was a loving father that adored his son. Matias was a devoted 49ers fan. He had a deep hatred for onions. He will never forgive a certain unknown road side diner that served him onions in his pancakes. He is survived by his son Avi Salas, brother; Jesus Rivas, and son; Alex Rivas sister; Yolanda Salas and, mother; Juana Salas, and quarterback; Joe Montana. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Jake, Phillip, Rachael, Beatrice, and Jamie for their assistance and care during this difficult time. There will be a celebration of Israel's life held at Wharfinger Building #1 Marina Way, Eureka, CA 95501 on Saturday December 7th, 2013, from noon to 3 p.m. Go Niners!
