Michael Jack Hurst Born January 17, 1953, passed away on January 11, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Mike was raised in Fortuna and attended local schools. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for many years. Mike also enjoyed the outdoors, football, and golf. He was an avid hunter. Mike was preceded in death by his son John. Also by his grandparents H.D. Hurst, Vern and Flow Andrews, and Alice and Walter Frescholtz. Mike is survived by his wife Jerry, sons Jack (Shawna), and Dustin, parents Jack and Betty Hurst, brother Walt (Sherrie), sister Cheryl (Curt), grandsons Cody and JD, and granddaugther Katie. Mike is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Becky Cardoza (Terry), Darlene (Dale) Flowers, brother-in-law Don Reid, stepson Chris Crowl, mother-in-law Iris Reid, as well as many, many friends.
