Michael Conway Obituary

Michael Robert Conway Age 57, born October 27 1955 in Eureka California, passed away at his home in Arcata California on Saturday Feb. 23. He is Survived by his wife Linnea, daughters Heather Landreneaux and Mai Lin Conway, son Christopher Conway and grandson Trenton Landreneaux. He is also survived by his Father Dale Mitchell, Brothers Rex Williams and Wallace Williams, and twin brother Patrick Conway. Mike had over 20 years in the Operating Engineers, both as an Operator and an Organizer. He also served on the Central Labor Union, and the Building Trades for many years. Additionally, Mike served many years on the Democratic Central Committee. Mike was a good Father, loving husband, and a friend to many. Mike was quick to lend a hand to those in need,or with his off-beat sense of humor offer a good word, or a hug. Mike loved to sing, he had a beautiful tenor song, and spent many years singing at church and with the Trinidad Community Choir. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. We are blessed from knowing him, and move forward in the knowledge that he is with the Lord and is at Peace. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday March 1st at the Community Center located at Pierson Park off Gwen Road, McKinleyville Ca. Pastor Neil Montgomery presiding. Pat and family,

To lose someone so suddenly is often hard to comprehend. We don't always get a chance to say our goodbyes. I feel your brother lived his life to the fullest while he was here. Every time I saw him (often with his young daughter on his shoulders) he was laughing or smiling. I know you will all see him again and I know he will be close by to watch over his children. I am sorry for his passing.
