Miracle Myles Moller was born May 24, 1993 in Mountain View, California, and died unexpectedly in a hiking accident on December 22, 2012 in Angeles National Forest. Miracle moved to Arcata at the age of 3 mos. and resided in Arcata until the age of 18. Miracle was an avid soccer player, his love of the sport was obvious when watching him on the field. He played for the Humboldt Steelheads for 3 years and loved traveling out of town for games and tournaments. His love of soccer helped him to become a reader; the first book he read cover to cover was World Encyclopedia of Soccer which he had checked out from the Sunset School Library in the third grade. Miracle also enjoyed reading poetry, physics, philosophy, religion, and German history. Miracle had a fearless spirit, he loved exploring the outdoors and experimenting in the kitchen. Miracle is also well known for his sense of humor and wit; he enjoyed doing monologues in funny voices and making people laugh. He graduated from Arcata High School in 2011. Writing poetry was a passion he developed while in high school; he had hoped to be published one day "Remember me kindly Do admit your own pain I'll take you in any time Though I have gone still" He is survived by his mother Kimberly Chapman, stepfather Joseph Thompson, sister Ivy Moller, brother Jesse Myles, aunt Ashly Chapman, Cousin Bella Bently of Arcata, and grandparents Robert Chapman and Cynthia Kinder of West Virginia, and numerous extended family in West Virginia and Alabama. His family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Pacific Clinics of Los Angles County for assisting Miracle during his residency in LA. The family will be hosting a Life Clelebration for Miracle at Redwood Park Jan 26, 2013 from 1-4pm. This is an informal event to share memories and reminisce.
