Obituary Condolences

passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2012 at her home in Kettenpom at the age of 65. She was born on September 15, 1946 in San Diego CA to Michael and Beatrice Carroll. Married John Pogue in 1964 and settled in San Diego were they had 2 sons Michael and James they moved to Humboldt County in 1976. Mom married Dennis Lewis in 1978 and became the loving step mother of Andy Lane and Sara Lewis. Mom leaves a legacy of dedication to her family and always put them above all else. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and was extremely proud of her Grand children and her son's accomplishments. She loved horses, dogs and cats and always enjoyed spoiling them. Mom was a very accomplished cosmetologist, Artist and wood worker. She leaves her family with many beautiful paintings, toys and doll houses made lovingly for each person with her caring hands. Mom was a very hard worker her whole life. She owned businesses for many years as well as worked at the Drive Thru Tree and the Grandfather Tree gift shops. She sold many of her hand made art work at the local gift shops and in the most recent years on her own online business Kettenpom Creations. Mom also gave many hours to the local children as a 4-H leader and baseball coach. She donated many of her beautiful creations to the local schools for the children to enjoy or for them to raffle off to help the children make money for the things they needed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Beatrice Carroll. Brother Ludger Jewells Carroll, in-laws Arthur and Alice Lewis. Sister and brother in-laws Ted and Lyla Annibel, Ralph Morris. Nephew Michael Lewis and great grand daughter Brooklyn Driggs . She is survived by her husband of 33 years Dennis Lewis. Sons Michael and Valerie Pogue, James and Michelle Pogue. Step son Andy Lane, step daughter Sara Lewis Pigot. Brother in-law Whitley and Beverly Lewis. Grand children Donovan, Kaydon and Kaylee Pogue. Kyle, Travis, and Larissa Harrison, Kelsey Switzer. Brandon, Logon and Jennifer Smith, Brittney Lewis. Betsey, Kaitlin and Sabrina Lane. Shelby and Robert Driggs. Great Grand children Kaydon and Brodie Driggs, Keeley Smith and Makayla Burns as well as her very best friend Mary Ann Ramos of Chicago.
