I am saddend by the thought that the nice rancher that we kids called " old man petersen" is no longer around. I still see his face every time I drive past the ranch. I remember the day that the boys told him that he had pull his last machine and would no longer have to do the milking. I didn't understand ,back then, when he told me that he was happy not to have to milk any more, and a little sad too. Although I have lost contact with the Petersen family, they are in my thoughts and prayers daily since I named my corporation after A conversation between Walter Bognuda and Old Man Petersen. May they both rest in peace.

To The Petersens,
You were always "The Petersens" to our family: We're going to The Petersens for Fourth of July...We're going to The Petersens for a swim in the pool...We're going to The Petersens for a visit after church...We're going to see The Petersens at Mattole...
I have so many fond memories that involve The Petersens. Robert was a kind man. I'm sorry I wasn't at the funeral. I love you all.

Chris, Cynthia and family - A few years ago I enjoyed visiting with your Dad and doing an oral history interview for the historical society. Since then I have thought often and fondly of him. I wish you peace after his passing. Regards, Jan Werren

Dear Sweet Family,
"And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall
keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a
time to dance;"
In this time of grief, there are really no words that sound good to say, or sound good to hear that I have found. But, I have found these two passages to be helpful to me. So, I bring them to you now.
We had such an awesome time, so long ago now, when we came out to your place. And meeting your family was such a blessing for us.
All our love,
Greg, Donna, Daniel & Holli
