I'm so very sorry for your loss. I knew Scott when we were just a bunch of kids that hung out together on Alliance road (which is now Spear Ave) in Arcata. We spent so many nights playing kick the can and baseball in our back field. We loss touch after the family moved but from reading about him he became an even more wonderful friend and family man. My thoughts are with you.

Shirley, Trevor and Family,
I think I was closer to Scott than I believed. Hearing of his passing and going to his service was the most difficult thing I have ever done. Some people seem to get past things like this in weeks or months, but I don't ever think I'll be the same person ever again. Scott was so special! Out of the thousands of people I've met in my life He affected me like no other. Not just our common interests, but our sense of humor and to a strong degree, a very similar angle on life we shared. In some respects we were like brothers, and in others he was like a father. I hope I was as good a friend to him as he was to me.
