Shad Windbigler Obituary

of 2152 Plunkett Road, Bayside, died on Monday, September 27, 2010. She was 87 years old. Shad was born on January 31, 1923 in Alconbury, England. During WW2, She met and married Walter Fieg, a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps, and after the war moved to California. She lived in Long Beach for a short time but spent the majority of her life in Eureka. Shad was an accomplished musician and was associated with various choirs for more than fifty years. She played the organ and piano and sang professionally. Active in the senior citizens where she led a choir called the Golden Aires, who performed in the community for many years. Shad was pre-deceased by her husband and son, who died in a plane crash in 1964. She leaves her husband, Mr. Don Windbigler, a retired florist and civic booster, and his family and her three children and their families. There is no funeral, nor memorial service planned.
