Vernon Joseph Renner was born November 12, 1925, to Charles & Katherine Renner in Ferndale, CA and passed away May 23, 2013 in Eureka, CA at the age of 87. Vernon was a loving father, uncle and "Pop" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served in the US Army from March 1944 to September 1945. He married Lois Betty Roscoe in August 1949. Vernon worked as a rancher/dairymen for over 40 years in Price Creek and enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren good work ethics and how to run the daily operations of the ranch. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Humboldt County Woolgrowers Association. Vernon is survived by his son Michael (Carlene) Renner, daughter Judy Renner, daughter-in-law Debbie Renner, and nephew David (Jeannie) Renner. He is survived by eight grandchildren: Sara (Brennan) Dixon, Carrie (Mike) Brazil, Renae (Carlos) Alejandre, Russ Renner, Jesse (Elyzabeth) Renner, Tyler (Keli) Renner, Andrew Dotson and Alex Sanborn. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Megan and Levi Dixon, Brandon and Brianna Brazil, Nico and Mattias Alejandre, Wesley and Colton Renner, Cervin Crenshaw and Cade Renner , and Brookelin and Brody Renner. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his son Steve, his brother Ervin and sister-in-law Ida, his parents Charles and Katherine Renner, his cousin Norm and numerous aunts and uncles. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28th at the Assumption Catholic Church in Ferndale. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29th at Assumption Catholic Church with burial at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Eureka, CA immediately following. A reception will be held at the home of Debbie Renner after the interment. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in Vernon's name may be made to the
