Wayne Kellogg Obituary

Passed away peacefully on September 14, 2010 in Eureka CA. He was a humble, quiet, kind, and loving husband, father, and grandfather who worked very hard all of his life. Born in Encinitas, CA on September 12, 1929 to Murl and Mabel Kellogg. Wayne is survived by his wife of 55 years Christel, daughter Cindy Chesbro and her husband Wesley Chesbro, grandsons Alan and Collin, stepdaughter Brenda Williams, sisters Gracie Alexander of Yuciapa, CA and Wanda Fuss of Riverside, CA and their extended families. Wayne served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII stationed in Nome, Alaska. He and Christel retired to Humboldt County 30 years ago from So. CA. Wayne enjoyed going to garage sales and finding unique furniture to refinish. He enjoyed working with wood. He was a strong and active man who was always tinkering with something. Family and friends will remember Wayne with warmth and love and he will be greatly missed There will be a private celebration of his life at his request.

Hello Cindy:
My prayers are with you and your mom at this difficult time. Your dad must have been a wonderful person because you are. I first met you when we were HSU students about 25 years ago.
