Michael "Skeeter" Reeves August 26, 1969 - November 7, 2012 Skeeter went to meet the Creator on Wednesday November 7, 2012. He lived in Humboldt County his whole life. He was a graduate of Fortuna High where he played football. Skeeter loved to play baseball and Softball. He loved to go swimming and camping in his younger years. He loved to ride his Harley. He loved to listen to Heavy Metal. His favorite band was Slayer. At a concert the band autographed his arm. He got it tattooed on his arm. KISS was his first metal band he listened too. Skeeter was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was a very proud Tribal Member of the Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria. He worked for the Tribe for many years as the Enrollment Coordinator and in the Surveillance Department. He became a State Certified Water Treatment Operator. Skeeter was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a very outgoing person and always had a smile on his face. He made friends where ever he went. Skeeter will be dearly missed. He is survived his Mother Carole Reeves, brothers Jerry and Arlys Reeves, Sister in Law Gloria Reeves, Aunt Jo Thompson, Uncle Edwin Smith, Jr. Niece's and Nephew's Vivian, Moses, Danny, Vannessa, Jerrica, and Geronimo. Aunts Rosale Reeves, Victoria Reeves, Karen Hermosillo, Elaine Willets, Carmalita Mendoza. Cousins Greg and Gabriel. He is proceeded in death by his father Jerry Reeves Sr., Grandmother Eleanore L. Smith, and Grandfather Edwin Smith Sr. Honorary pall bearers will be Arlys Reeves, Jerry Reeves Jr., Moses Reeves, Danny Reeves, Geronimo Reeves, Edwin Smith Jr., John McGinnis, Jim McGinnis, Dakota McGinnis, and Bruce Merson. A viewing will be held Sunday November 11, 2012 at 39 Bear River Dr. starting at 11 am. A dinner will be held at 3 pm at the Tish Non Community Center at 266 Keisner Rd.
