Jeanne Marie (Patterson) MacDonald passed away on November 12th at her home in Eureka surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Recently she celebrated her 80th birthday at a lovely party at the Ingomar Club with family and friends. Jeanne was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Leonard & Francis Patterson. Jeanne loved her garden especially her roses and was an artist of beautiful water color and oil paintings but her true talent was making pine needle baskets. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a love for Arabian horses especially the baby foals. She raced two of her horses which she enjoyed going to watch at the racetrack during the Humboldt County Fair. Jeanne & Bob enjoyed traveling on their motorcycle to many places across the US and more recently they enjoyed going to the casino. She is survived by her loving husband Bob and five children Shel (Pat) Barsanti, Zane (Shelly) MacDonald, Rod MacDonald, Ty MacDonald, Renel (Tom) Nordeman. Her brother Jerry (Betty) Patterson, sister Kay (Ange) Fero, sister-in-law Joyce Patterson (all of Reno), sister Margie (David) Smith of Las Vegas, thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and close & dear friends Johnnie Olsen, Becky Enberg and her sister-in-law Barbara Seehafer-Johnson.
