Obituary Condolences

Jose Luis Moreno-Fernandez Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son and Dear Friend, left this earth on March 11, 2013. Jose passed peacefully, surrounded by his family and many friends. Jose was born on May 19, 1968 to Ramon Moreno-Rodriguez and Rosa Fenandez-Chavez, both of Michoac n Mexico. After relocating to the United States with his family in 1996 to Eureka, California Jose worked for local Humboldt County Businesses such as Sun Valley, Cypress Grove, Samoa Cookhouse, Loleta Cheese and later started his own landscaping company, which he operated along with his sons. Jose loved spending time outdoors and especially looked forward to BBQ's with family and friends and looked for any opportunity to take his sons fishing or get a good card game going with his closest friends. Jose's contagious smile and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Jose was a generous man, always giving what he could to family and friends. Truth be told, Jose's world revolved around his family, especially his seven children. He truly lived for the opportunity to spend time with each of them or attending their academic and athletic events. Jose is preceded in death by his Grandmothers, Virginia Rodriguez and Cenorina Chavez-Mendoza, Grandfathers Jose Fernandez-Blancarte and Abran Moreno, Father Ramon Moreno-Rodriguez, Brothers Federico Moreno-Fernandez and Diopoldo Moreno-Fernandez and second born son Jose Moreno II. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Josefina Moreno-Munguia, Daughter Mariana Moreno-Munguia, son Ramon Leonicio Moreno-Munguia and daughter-in-law Karrie Besherse-Moreno, son Antonio Moreno-Munguia and son-in-law Allen Don McCloskey, son Jose Luis "Jr" Moreno-Munguia, son Jesus "Chuchi" Moreno-Munguia, son Otoniel "Tony" Moreno-Munguia, son Abel Moreno-Munguia. Grandchildren Alicia Necia Moreno-Wilkins and Trenton Moreno-Stone. Brother Gerardo Moreno-Fernandez, Brother Diocelino Martinez-Fernandez, and Sisters Celia Moreno-Fernandez, Ofelia Moreno-Fernandez and Esperanza Moreno-Fernandez as well as numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, compadres and comadres. A Rosary and viewing will be held on Thursday March 21st at 6:00pm at Pierce Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka California. Grave side service will be at Ocean View Cemetery immediately following services at Sacred Heart. Pallbearers: Ramon L. Moreno-Munguia, Antonio Moreno-Munguia, Jose "Jr" Moreno-Munguia, Jesus "Chewchi" Moreno-Munguia, Otoniel "Tony" Moreno-Munguia, Abel Moreno-Munguia and Allen Don McCloskey. Honorary Pallbearers: Elias Garcia, Jose Pastor-Munguia, Antonio Segura, Enrique Delgado, Jose Maria-Fernandez, Luis Cota and Francisco Madero and Gorge Murillo.
