Patricia (Patty) Hughes Polston July 7, 1934 - May 2, 2013 Patty was born in Maries, Idaho and lived most of her life in Eureka. She attended St. Bernards and Eureka Senior High School. She also graduated from Fredericks and Charles Beauty College. She spent her working years as a cosmetologist for Edie's Beauty Salon. She also worked for many local establishments tending bar. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to cook, garden, sew and crochet. Her pride and joy was her Boston Terrier named shooter. They were inseparable until her beloved dog passed away six months prior to her passing. Patty is preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Marie Hughes; her daughter Pamela Crosswhite; and her grandson Robert Crosswhite. She is survived by her sisters Betty Stahr and Jacky Buckman; daughters Renne Gossic and Lisa Short; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to her many friends, especially Ike and Lisa M., and her wonderful neighbors Ellen and Jim, and Becky and Andy for always helping our mother. It was comforting to know that she was surrounded by such caring and loving people. A potluck gathering in her memory will be held on Saturday July 13th from 1 to 4 pm at 1415 McCullen Avenue in Eureka. Please feel free to come by and Celebrate Patty's life with us.
