DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Alice Younes Ruhling, 99, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 23, 2018.
Alice was preceded by her husband, David, son-in-law Mohan Dutt, and granddaughter Emily Dutt. She is survived by daughters Anita Dutt, Janice Ruhling and husband Eric Datz; grandsons Brian and Dr. Michael Dutt and wife Dr. Brittany LeMonda Dutt.
Alice graduated from Spaulding High School and Villa Maria College in Erie, Pennsylvania. During World War II, she worked in the Erie labs of GE.
She lived for many years in Buffalo, New York, moving back to Barre in later years where she loved being with her extended Shadroui and Younes families, and her many lifelong friends. In 1996, Alice moved once again to Daytona Beach where she enjoyed walking the beach, learning bridge, playing piano, cooking for family and sharing her special recipes.
She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
A graveside service will be held on Aug. 25, 10 a.m., in St. Monica's Cemetery, Barre, Vermont.
