Cedric Towne Obituary
He was born July 24, 1918, in Waterbury Center, Vt., to Daniel and Daisy (Brown) Towne. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service and then became one of the first employees of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. He married Virginia Lepper Dec. 27, 1947. They later divorced, and he married Gladys Fox Nov. 22, 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Clermont; son Dr. Bradford Towne and wife Janice, of Barre, Vt.; daughter Donna Towne Mendello and husband Bill, of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; stepson Mark Fields, of Sanford, Fla.; grandchildren Brad Towne, Ethan Towne, Jeremy Rousse, Wendy Fuller, Matthew Fields and Angelique Fields; and several great-grandchildren.
Burial was held Friday, March 14, 2014, in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in Cedric Towne's memory to Clermont Kiwanis Club Foundation, 900 W. Highway 50, Clermont, FL 34711.

You were the first of my neighbors to introduce yourself when I moved in. My dog will miss you coming to pet her through the fence every day. I will miss having you as a neighbor, and will watch over Gladys. Rest in peace....
