YPSILANTI, Mich. - Douglas R. Hull Jr., 35, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Ypsilanti, Mich., on April 6, 2013.

He was born in Berlin on May 5, 1977. He is the son of Douglas and Mary (Tucker) Hull of Barre and Roger and Debra (Buska) Bauer of Wayne, Mich.

He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1996.

He was employed by the Wayne County Busing Service.

Doug loved his family, his cat, hunting, Red Wings Hockey games, family gatherings and Tim Horton's coffee.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister Aren (Hull) and Todd Harkness, of Tecumseh, Mich., step-sisters Laura Bauer of Gregory, Mich., Jaime Bauer, of Ypsilanti, Mich., Allison (Aldrich) and Keith Plante and a step-brother Ryan Aldrich of New York City, N.Y., his paternal grandmother Barbara Hull of Middlesex, Vt., and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather George Hull, and maternal grandparents Myers and Elva Buska.

A funeral service was held at Victorious Life Church of God under the direction of the Janowiak Funeral Home, both of Ypsilanti, on April 11, 2013. A service of remembrance will take place at a later date here in Barre.
