BARRE TOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at the convenience of the family in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre for Germaine Y. Chaloux who passed away on Oct. 8, 2008, at her home on Morrison Road.
The Rev. Leopold J. Bilodeau, Pastor of the church was the celebrant.
Crucifer Ronald Routhier led the Prayer of the Faithful.
Organist Angeline Ennis accompanied vocalists, Mary Whyte and Romeo Bilodeau in the hymns, "Here I Am Lord," "Keep In Mind," "J'irai La Voire Un Jour," "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman" and "Amazing Grace."
Scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments were read by Ronald Routhier.
Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by daughter, Lise Gilbert; son, Raymond Chaloux and son-in-law, Edward Gilbert.
Pallbearers were Claude Chaloux and Raymond Chaloux, both sons; Raymond Chaloux, Jr., Chad Chaloux, Robert Boisvert and Raymond Isabelle, all grandsons.
A prayer service was held on Friday evening at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre and was led by Father Bilodeau, also words of remembrance were offered by son, Claude Chaloux.
Interment followed the Mass at Hope Cemetery in Barre where Father Bilodeau offered Committal Prayers. Following the interment the family gathered at the home of daughter, Diane Isabelle in Berlin for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
