MONTPELIER - John L. Doucette, 74, died Dec. 25, 2017, in Red Bluff, California.
He was born May 31, 1943, in Montpelier, Vermont, to Bernard L. Doucette and Angie Winona LaBell.
He graduated from St. Michael's High School in Montpelier.
He served in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed reading, fishing, square dancing, traveling and time spent with his brother, Joe.
Survivors include his brother, Joseph Doucette, of Arkansas.
He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Peter, Sonny, Ronnie Doucette; and one sister, Cynthia Doucette.
The graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 487 Furnace Road, Randolph Center, Vermont.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vermont Veterans Fund, 118 State St., Montpelier, VT 05620.
