BARRE - Russell M. Curtis, 68, formerly of Bethel, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Four Seasons Care Home in Northfield.

He was born May 3, 1946, in Randolph, the son of Kenneth and Rose (Letourneau) Curtis.
He graduated from Whitcomb High School and then attended Rutland Business College.
Mr. Curtis married Kay Claflin in Barre Nov. 15, 2002.
He worked at Randolph National Bank from 1966-1978, then Silk Purse and Sows Ear in Bethel, Northfield Savings Bank from 1978-1984, and retired from Bethel Central Market.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Mr. Curtis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had been a treasurer of White River Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include two children, Beth Anne Cole of Berwick, Maine, and Ryan Curtis of Somersworth, N.H.; a brother, Brian Curtis of Bethel; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife in 2007.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, where a calling hour will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Bethel.
