BARRE TOWN - Christopher L. Rogers, 9, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at his home on Camp Street in Barre Town. Born in Berlin on June 3, 1999, he was the beloved son of Jeff and Lisa (Jacques) Rogers. He enjoyed life fully. Chris really enjoyed working with his dad, as well as playing with excavation equipment.
He went to school at Barre Town Elementary School and was going to be in the third grade. He was a young, active boy, filled with love and kindness, who touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be truly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Lisa Rogers of Barre Town; two sisters, Danielle Rogers and Kristen Rogers, also of Barre Town; grandparents John and Rena Rogers of Barre Town, and Larry Jacques of Barre and his fiancée, Lucille DeForge of East Barre; aunts and uncles, Lynn and Jim Rogers of Barre Town, Kathy Rogers also of Barre Town, Valerie Jacques of Barre, and John Rogers III of East Calais; and cousins Marla and Cary Rogers of Barre Town, and Ashley and Ben Rogers of Barre Town. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Shirley Jacques.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. Family and friends may call at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home on 58 Summer St., in Barre on Monday, Aug.18, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Burial will follow the Mass in the Wilson Cemetery in Lower Websterville.
