Helen later worked full time for over 25 years as a receptionist for Dr. L.F. Withington, from which she retired.

Helen's memberships included Holy Family Church in Watertown, N.Y., and St. Andrew Catholic Church in Waterbury. In her leisure time, she enjoyed swimming, ice skating, knitting, crocheting and reading.
