Betty Eileen Dugan, 90, of Longmont went to be with the Lord March 31, 2014 at Safe Harbor in Longmont. She was born April 14, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas to Edward Vernal and Lenna Mae (Guy) Anderson. Betty graduated from Kansas City Kansas High School in 1941. She married Lowell Thomas Dugan Sr. August 2, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Lowell and Betty celebrated 70 years of married life. The family moved to Boulder, CO in 1946. Betty was a homemaker and also worked for Woolworths, Joslin's, J.C. Penny and Rick's Amoco before retiring in 1987. Betty was a member of Rocky Mountain Christian Church and enjoyed several hobbies; gardening, reading, knitting, playing cards, camping and spending time with grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Lowell Thomas Dugan Jr., a daughter-in-law Sharon (Ancell) Dugan, and Thomas Stephens who was like a son to her. Betty is survived by her husband Lowell Thomas Dugan, Sr., daughter-in-law Bonnie Stephens, six grandchildren Darren Dugan (Jennifer), Jesse Dugan (Aimee), Erin Dugan, Hollie (Hicks) Henderson (Jordan), Chris Stephens (Laura), Jody Stephens (Hayley), great grandchildren; Jamie, Justin, Jack, Katelee, Emilee, Rylee, Weslee and Samuel. Memorial service will be 11AM Monday April 14, 2014 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Safe Harbor and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
