Duane Jennings

Duane K. Jennings, 94, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the care of Evercare Hospice in Boulder. Duane was born in Akron, Ohio and entered the Army in 1941 training as a B-24 gunner for World War II. Duane married Dorothy Graves in 1943 and worked for Prudential Insurance, and later Remington Rand, serving as the Typewriter and Supplies Product Regional Manager for the northeastern U.S. Upon retirement from Remington, Duane relocated to Houston, TX and worked as a manufacturer's representative until full retirement. Duane moved to Longmont, CO in 2004 to be close to family and enjoyed golfing and exercising at the Longmont YMCA. Duane is survived by daughter, Sue Garis & husband, Hal, of Whitney, TX, son, Robert S. Jennings & wife, Sue, of Harrisburg, PA, and daughter, Joy Frasure, & husband Tom, of Longmont, CO. He is also survived by two grandsons, Steve & Tim, and one granddaughter, Kate, as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Addison & Abigail. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Ronald Graves and wife Bonnie of Ashland, Ohio, and brother, Jack of Orlando, Florida. A family dinner was held in Duane's honor. Cremation has been entrusted to Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services. Contributions may be made in Duane's memory to any local Hospice service.
