Eleanor Hansen

Eleanor E. Hansen passed away March 23, 2014. She was 95 years old. She was born in Millville, NJ to William Corsen and Elanor (Payne) Green. Her family first came to America in 1640; Eleanor was eligible to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In October of 1938 Eleanor married Arthur "Art" Hansen, and they were married for 72 years until his death in 2011. Together they moved to Colorado in 1996, and then to Florida, before moving back to Colorado in 2003. During WWII Eleanor worked in a parachute factory making parachute cord; when she and Art started a family she became a homemaker raising her children. She belonged to the Order Of The Eastern Star and enjoyed reading, quilting, crocheting, spending time with her family and going out to eat. She loved to play music; and played the piano until the day before she passed away. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one brother. Eleanor is survived by her son, Wayne Hansen; two daughters, Carol Blair (Mike) and Pam Blight (David); seven grandchildren, Cathi, Kelli, Bobbi, Shaun, Christy, Jon and Erica; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ryssby Cemetery. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
