Goldie Nelson, 93, of Fort Lupton, passed away on April 30, 2014. She was born February 23, 1921 in Rochester, New York and in 1939 graduated from school in Fort Lupton, Colorado. She lived the majority of her life in the Fort Lupton, Hudson and Longmont areas. She married Donald Nelson on October 10, 1942 in Kimball, Nebraska. Goldie was a talented beautician, draft board operator, retail clerk at M.H. Schloo Co, Woolworths, Ben Franklin and a deli manager at the Fort Lupton Market. In her later years she worked at the Bank of Colorado in Fort Lupton and volunteered at the Adams County Probation Department doing file preparation. Goldie is survived by her three daughters Sharon (Nick) Hepp of Thornton, Donna Miller of Fort Lupton, and Kathy Nelson-Purifoy of Fort Lupton; grandchildren Michael (Tina) Hepp, Julie (Chon) Chavez, Kelly (Scott) Kronberg, and Kacey Purifoy; great grandchildren Kelsey Hepp, Nicholas Hepp, Delanie Hepp, Mitchell Hepp, A.J. Hepp, Mallory Chavez, Remy Kronberg, and Camden Kronberg; and sister Ruth Swinehart. Goldie was preceded in death by both her parents, Anna and Morris Goldstein; sister Hannabelle Cass; brothers William, Sam and Bud Goldstein; and oldest grandson Mark Hepp. Visitation 1:00-3:00pm, Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St, Longmont, CO 80501.
