Jacqueline Strauch

Jacqueline "Jacquie" Ann Strauch, age 69 of Greeley died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at North Colorado Medical Center. Jacquie was born April 6, 1944 in Wray, Colorado to James and Bette (Potter) Shapard. Jacquie married James E. Strauch on June 4, 1966 in Commerce City, Colorado. Jacquie and James came to Greeley in 2008 from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Prior to living in Oklahoma, they lived in Mead, Colorado from 1972 to 2006. Jacquie was a housewife and a volunteer school nurse for the Mead Elementary and Mead Middle School. She loved to bowl and had bowling trophies, pins and other bowling awards. She loved to play the piano, made beautiful homemade Christmas decorations and most of all loved her family. Jacquie is survived by her husband James of Greeley, one son Greg Strauch and his wife Leann of Platteville, two sisters Judy Adams of Longmont and Pat Fuller and her husband Boyd of Johnstown. In addition, her step-mom Betty Shapard and her half sister Bobbie Shapard, both of Yuma, survive her. Jacquie also has three stepsisters, Judy Walters and her husband Bing of Brighton, Jean Gilbo of Thorton and Joyce Castin of Yuma. She has two grandchildren, Rebecca and Rachel Kennedy of Dallas. Jacquie was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Debora Jean Kennedy, who died in 2006. Memorial services will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.
