Margaret Faverty

Ruth "Margaret" Bailey Faverty passed away Saturday, December 28 in Longmont, CO. She was 86. Margaret moved to Longmont in 1999 after losing her husband, and love of her life, Marion. She was a long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Longmont Humane Society Thrift Store and was an active member of Eastern Star, Rebekah's, and United Methodist Women's Circle in Longmont. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Marion William Faverty Jr., and a son, Frederic Michael. Margaret is survived by four children; Patrick of Arroyo Grande CA, Alice Linhart (Mike) of Swisher IA, Brian of Longmont CO, and Ellen Williamson (Michael) of Loveland CO. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Sheri Faverty of Estacada OR, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews; Margaret had a very close and loving relationship with her niece Fiona and husband Bruce Gibson of Loveland CO. Margaret was a kind and generous mother, sister, aunt, and friend; very giving and philanthropic. She loved to knit, quilt, and do crafts, and was an avid reader. She was passionate about her love of companion animals, and always had pets in her life. Margaret will be missed dearly and her passing will leave a void in many lives. Family humbly requests any memorials on Margaret's behalf be sent to any of her favorite charities; Longmont Humane Society, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, and the .
