Sarah "Sally" Clark

Sarah Jane "Sally" Clark, 98, of Longmont, died April 22, 2014 at her son's home in Northglenn, CO. She was born June 1, 1915 in Longmont, Colorado the only daughter of Theodore D. and Florence (Mumford) Schey. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1933 and went on to attend and graduate from the University of Colorado in 1938 with a degree in sociology and psychology. On September 1, 1939 she married Charles "Chick" Clark in Longmont. Sally was a member of the Tri Delta sorority, the Daughters of the American Revolution and PEO Chapter CJ. She was also a faithful member of First Congregational, United Church of Christ. Survivors include her sons Chuck (Sherry) Clark of Northglenn, Tom Clark of Longmont, Rick (Jackie) Clark of Denver and her daughter Betsy (Denny) Stafford of San Pedro, CA. She is further survived by eight grandchildren: Celeste (Tony) Lanuza, Southlake, TX, Sarah Stafford, Encinitas, CA, Tauni Clark, Denver, Doug Stafford, Seattle, WA, Chad (Elizabeth) Clark, Westminster, Heather (Aaron) Wojtas, Lakewood, MacKenzie Clark, Denver and Ian Clark, Grand Junction and her great grandchildren Jesse Brown, Sebastian Lanuza, Catalina Lanuza, Zoe Clark, Charlie Clark and Leo Clark. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2004, her son Thomas Howard Clark, who died at birth, and her brother Ted Schey. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the First Congregational, United Church of Christ, 9th Avenue and Francis Street, Longmont, with Reverend Rick King officiating.
