Albert Selzler Obituary
Albert John Selzler died at his home in Loveland on October 31, 2013. He was 69. Albert was born on April 29, 1944 in Bismarck, ND to Andrew and Marion (Vetter) Selzler. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 until 1966 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio where he was an instructor in the electronics school. Albert married Kathleen Ann Brooks on July 28, 1962. He worked for IBM as an electrical engineer from 1966 until he retired in 1991. Albert and Kathleen had three children and later divorced. He married Norma Jean (Walston) Foster on April 13, 1980. Albert enjoyed being outdoors and spending time in the mountains. He enjoyed taking long drives. Albert also enjoyed meeting people, sharing stories and jokes with them and dining out. Preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers: Tony (Anthony) and Jake (Jacob) Selzler, and his wife Norma Jean. Surviving are his three children: Sherri (Steve) Buysse of Niwot, Michael Selzler and Brian (Tina) Selzler of Longmont; two step children: Mike (Lisa) Foster of Broomfield and Sabrina (Jared) Anderson of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren: Aaron and Joshua Buysse, Kaitlyn and Karli Selzler, Lake Read; four step grandchildren: Venessa and Devin Foster and Blaine and Trey Anderson; two sisters: Carol Shirk of Spokane, WA and Marian Goodno of Junction City, KS, and his former wife Kathleen of Frederick. A celebration of Albert's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7 at the Elks Lodge in Longmont. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
