Debbie K. Schubert passed away June 24, 2015 at Longmont United Hospital after a 3 1/2 year battle with breast cancer. She was 57 years old. Debbie was born in California to Robert and LaVonne McIntosh. She graduated from Saratoga High School in 1976 and went on to obtain her Associates Degree in Child Development from West Valley College. Debbie married Rich Schubert in Cupertino, CA in 1979 and they made their home in Los Gatos, CA. In 1989 they moved to Longmont, CO to be close to family. Debbie was a dedicated cook with the Head Start program for 21 years and more recently worked for the Niwot Children's Center. She was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church and enjoyed working on their Dickens Christmas event. Debbie was also a Cub Scout Den Mother, PTA member, and enjoyed volunteering for her children's schools, sports and church events. Debbie loved spending time with her family and friends (who loved her humor and wit), cooking, playing board/card games, Bingo, Bunko, helping and caring for others, bowling, watching movies and reading. Debbie played the flute, piccolo and piano. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Rich, their sons Jeff (wife Heidi, granddaughter Avenley) and Scott (wife Carina, grandchildren Xavier and Zoe), her siblings Susan McIntosh-Beeler (Greg), Carol Sorensen (Rob), and Bob McIntosh Jr., her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, and her nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Debbie's Life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at LifeBridge Christian Church, 10345 Ute Hwy, Longmont, CO. Grief can be so hard but our special memories help us cope. We will always cherish the memories in our cul-de-sac on Tundra when we had barbecue's and also when we celebrated our Anniversaries together that was so much fun!
