Peter Francis Cetrulo was born on April 18, 1991 in Boulder, Colorado. He grew up in Niwot and attended the local public schools, graduating from Silver Creek High in 2009. Peter briefly attended CU Boulder and had hopes of returning to school to major in history. He particularly loved ancient Roman history, and dreamed of traveling to Italy after earning his degree. Meanwhile, Peter enjoyed his job at the Greenbriar Inn, and he often commented that his boss and his fellow Greenbriar workers were his second family. Peter was a member of First Congregational UCC Longmont, which nurtured his deep yearnings and supported him in his exuberant creativity and expressiveness. He liked to lift others up, lighten their loads, and make them smile. Everyone who knew him said Peter could make them laugh like no one else. He looked for the good in people, forgave easily, apologized first, and lit up the room with his radiant smile. He looked up to his older brother Ted and sister-in-law Jackie, who live in Key West, Florida. Luckily, he was able to visit them last May. His parents, Frank and Linda Cetrulo, and all his family are devastated at his unexpected and premature death. To know Peter was to love him, and his loss leaves a deep hole in the hearts of everyone he ever knew. We will never forget him. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday January 5, 2013 at First Congregational United Church of Christ 1500 9th Ave. Longmont, CO 80501.
