Catherine Virden, 85, of Longmont, CO died March 16, 2014. Catherine was born on September 17, 1928 in Lafayette, CO to Joseph and Mary (Gallo) Musk, Sr.
Catherine graduated from Lafayette High School. She married William Virden and they moved to Utah. She and Bill moved to the Longmont area in the mid 1960's.
Catherine drove a bus for St. Vrain Valley Schools for 24 years. She was a member of Eastern Star in Lafayette. She enjoyed watching the Broncos and spending time with her grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill in 1982, brother Joseph Musk, Jr. and sisters Rose Berenek, Mary McMahan and Josephine Jones.
Catherine is survived by her son Bill (Vickie) Virden of Longmont, granddaughters Becca and Jessie and sisters Jean Schlegal of Longmont and Frances McCray of Corvallis, Oregon.
Funeral service 10:00am, Thursday, March 20 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with visitation prior and a reception following the service. Private burial at Green Mountain Cemetery. Visit
