Robert "Bob" Williams Obituary
Robert L. "Bob" Williams passed away peacefully at his home on May 29, 2014 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was 57 years old. Bob was born on April 26, 1957 in Oak Park, IL to Robert H. Williams and Helen Marie Frederick. The family moved to Longmont in 1973 from Chicago, IL and Bob graduated from Longmont High School in 1975. He graduated top of his class from Bob University. Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1975 - 1980 and during that time served in Crete, Greece. He married Carolyn S. Strawderman, his high school sweetheart, who attended Niwot High where they met. They were married in Lawrence, Kansas in 1977. Bob started his career in sales with Clover Club Foods. He then dedicated his working life to Farmer Brothers Coffee Co. where he worked for 29 years, rising to his position as District Sales Manager. He attended church at St. Johns in Loveland, CO; and was a member of the Moose Lodge and master of the Kindle. Bob loved to travel, enjoyed reading and writing, loved the Chicago Cubs and baseball, music and the Denver Broncos. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert H. Williams. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sue Williams of Loveland, CO; his son Robert D. Williams of Fort Collins, he will be deeply missed by his wife, son and family. He is also survived by his mother Helen M. Williams; his aunt Elizabeth Dunnigan of LaMesa, CA; his sisters Melody L. Williams (Gaines) of Longmont, CO and Michelle M. Morrison (Randy) of Longmont, CO; his mother-in-law Dorothy J. Strawderman of Emporia, KS; his sister-in-laws Jacky Tidwell (Donnie) of Lawrence, KS and Joy Morgan of Emporia, KS; and many nephews and nieces who all loved him dearly. A memorial service time and place will be announced later. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
