Jacqueline Anderson Obituary
Jacqueline Joyce Anderson passed away Tuesday, July 8 at her home in Longmont surrounded by her family. She was born on February 25, 1933 in Lenapah, Oklahoma to Clarence Carl Munsinger and Bessie Lee Coker. Her early school years were spent in Oklahoma and Kansas. She graduated in 1951 from Dewey High School in Dewey, Oklahoma. She married Gerald Anderson in Dewey, Oklahoma on June 14, 1953. She and Gerald lived in Utah, Oklahoma and Georgia before moving to Longmont, Colorado in 1969. The last 19 years she and Gerald have spent their summer months on the Flying X Ranch in Wyoming. Jacqueline was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having her family come for her holiday meals. In her younger years, Jacqueline always had vegetable and flower gardens. She passed her love of growing things to her children and grandchildren, who now are as passionate about gardening as she was. She loved to read, not only books but the daily newspaper which she read cover-to-cover. She is survived by Gerald, with whom she just celebrated 61 years of marriage; two daughters, Roxanne Hagerman (Greg) of Longmont, Debra Kay Thompson (Frank Bennett) of Greeley; one son, Rod Anderson (Elke) of Longmont; grandchildren Alison Gogert of Longmont, Sarah Hannan of Loveland, Evan Hagerman of Longmont, Kendra Hagerman of Longmont, Trevor Hagerman of Longmont, Cassie Anderson-Beecher of Loveland, Kimberly Thompson of Greeley, Jonathan Anderson of Longmont and Rebecka Anderson of Longmont; great-grandchildren Jared, Gaspar, Levi, Thalia, Thorne, Trey, Gavin, Kai, and Ryan, plus one great-great-grandchild Eli; sister Carla Hart (Melvin) of Longwood, Florida, brother-in-law Jim Anderson (Rose) of Norwalk, Iowa, sister-in-law Gloria Bailey of Belleville, Illinois along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Bessie Munsinger, sister Bonnie McMenamy, in-laws Rosa and Jack Anderson and brother-in-law Jack Anderson, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, a reception will follow the service at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, CO 80501. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
