Randall Jay Manning, 51, of Longmont, died September 26, 2012 at his residence. Randy was born on October 19, 1960 in Denver to Roland and Carol Manning. Randy excelled throughout school. His passions were nature, wrestling and debate. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude Bachelor Degree in Political Science and Anthropology from Denver University. Randy was a Boy Scout and achieved Eagle Scout at the early age 14. Randy truly believed in the Boy Scout Pledge of Honor and followed it throughout his life. Randy volunteered for the Peace Corp and spent 1 ½ years in the Philippines where he first met Lina “Medy” Feria. Unfortunately they were separated by family and culture but reunited 25 years later. They married on August 15, 2010 fulfilling the lifelong dream for both of them. Surviving are his wife, Medy of Longmont; his mother Carol Manning of Longmont; sister Leta (John) Gill-Scott of Longmont; and nephews Stopher (Alexa) and Alex Gill (Nicki); Great niece Elsie May Gill; and Great nephew D.J. Gabelman. He is further survived by his step-son Ramon Linus Beroy and step-daughter Marianne Beroy of the Philippines, three aunts, two uncles and 17 cousins; his dear friends Patty and Brian Billings and their children Aspen, Skyler and Lily of Firestone, Kurt Haeker of Montana, and Dr. Reza Ghods of Ohio. Randy's gentle loving spirit, charisma and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory.
