Harold Eaton Obituary
Harold G. Eaton passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members, on October 26, 2012 after a short stay at LifeCare Center in Longmont. He was 92. Harold was born April 16, 1920 in Derby Line, Vermont to Albert and Linnea Eaton. He grew up in Derby Line. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the South Pacific Fleet during WWII. On June 15, 1949 he married Janet. Harold was a barber who owned his own barbershop in Connecticut until his retirement in 1991. After his retirement he moved to Longmont. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Harold loved the outdoors, his family and his dogs. He was a craftsman and an avid gardener. He always had a new joke or story to tell everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years Janet; two sons Paul (Patricia) Eaton, and John Eaton; two daughters Nancy (Keely) Brunner, and Mary Eaton (Loren); four grandchildren Connor Eaton, Sarah Eaton, Jessica Boian, and Douglas Brunner; and two great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Jacqueline Boian. Private family services will be held. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Longmont, Meals on Wheels of Longmont, or LifeCare Center of Longmont.
