Kenneth Klug Obituary
Kenneth W. Klug, of Longmont, passed away peacefully November 6, 2012 at LifeCare Center of Longmont. He was 91. Ken was born on October 22, 1921 on the family farm near Pleasant Dale, Nebraska to Frank and Emma (Bahr) Klug. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Evelyn Marie McNees on October 5, 1943. They recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Littleton. Ken worked as a lead mechanic for Continental Airlines in Denver for 30 years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. A wood craftsman, he enjoyed working with his skilled hands; building wonderful gifts for his family, including furniture pieces and dollhouses. Preceding him in death are a brother Alvin Klug and a sister Adeline Lohmeier. Surviving are his wife Evelyn, son Gary (Ellen) Klug of Berthoud; daughter Carolyn (David) Tuepker of Englewood, Colorado; two grandchildren; Karyn (Gordon) Weakliem of Denver; Jeffrey Klug of Ft. Collins; and four great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 12, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. An interment will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
