John J. Bigger Obituary
John J. Bigger (Johnny) passed away June 24, 2013 from congestive heart failure and COPD he was 77. He was born in Longmont on May 19, 1936, oldest of three siblings. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1955. Johnny proudly served his country in the US Navy for 4 years. After his Honorable discharge from the military he returned to Longmont and partnered with his brother Ralph to take over ownership of the family business, John L. Bigger Electric Co., that they successfully ran together until retirement. Johnny was a great craftsman and fine sketch artist, he enjoyed fly fishing, reading and genealogical research. He loved his family and was a fabulous uncle to his nieces and nephew, many of our fondest memories are holidays, Easter holiday he would spend hours hiding eggs for the kids. Johnny was a kind, unassuming man with a huge heart, keen sense of humor and contagious smile. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his brother, Ralph (Sandy) Bigger of California; sister, Virginia (Herb) Acord of Longmont; nieces Laurie Walker, Leslie Shoecraft, Kelly Samuelson; Nephew Jeff Acord, and their children. He is preceded in death by his parents John L. Bigger and Margaret (Gross) Bigger. Graveside services will be held July 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
