Carlos Manzanares Obituary
Carlos Virgilio Manzanares 79 passed away peacefully, Sunday November 17, 2013. He was born March 28, 1934 in San Luis Colorado to proud parents Carlos and Teresa (Albert) Manzanares. Both precede him in death along with infant son Marco. He graduated from Mercy High School and attended Adams State College before joining the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Airmen 1st Class Non Commission Officer NCO. He received several medals to include, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Army Occupation Medal. Carlos retired from IBM as a World Trade Expediter. He enjoyed traveling, and hanging out with his breakfast buddies, but most of all was spending quality time with his family who he loved dearly. Carlos leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 47 years Barbara A. (Reading) Manzanares; his children: Maria (Tom) Davis, of North Pole, AK., Monica (Dave) Vialpando, of Alamosa, CO.; his siblings: Jim (Loretta) Manzanares, Elefonso (Janice) Manzanares, both of Pueblo, CO. and Berda (Felix) Medina, of Denver, CO.; his companion Princess. Six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In Memory of Carlos memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Children's Hospital of Denver through the Funeral Home. Rosary 7p.m. Friday, Funeral Mass 10a.m. Saturday both at St. Joseph Catholic Church Msgr. Leonard Racki as Celebrant. Family will receive friends in church hall following the Mass.
