Opal Bryan Obituary

Opal B. Bryan, 87, formerly of Lyons, CO passed away March 20, 2015 at Life Care Center of Longmont. Opal was born May 20, 1927 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Ellis and Minnie (Hoepner) Brady. Opal married Melvin N. Bryan on February 17, 1951 in Audubon, IA. They moved to Longmont, CO in 1952 and then to Lyons, CO in 1955. Opal was a member of the Lyons Methodist Church. She enjoyed latch hooking, crocheting, gardening, bingo and caring for her goats and other animals. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin in 1983, grandson John Raymond "Ray" Robb II in 2006 and three sisters. Opal is survived by her seven children, Larry D. Bryan, Jerry L. Bryan (Dianna), Charlotte M. Robb (Fred), Marilyn J. Bryan, Linda K. Clevenger, Patricia A. Owens and Cheryl L. Ross (Buster), 14 grandchildren, Tarrell Dean, David, Selina, Tiffany, Grace, Cleo, Anthony, Frederick, Jerry Jr., Meghan, April, Tyler, Justin and Joseph, 15 great-grandchildren and sister Joyce Raygor and husband Carol. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Lyons Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Humane Society in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
