ARNDT, Gustav April 23, 1915 December 21, 2011 Gus was a gentle soul with a kind heart and keen sense of humour. In his best years he was a whiz with numbers, a true handy man and avid gardener. Born in Neudorf, Sask. he lived most of his adult life in Victoria B.C. From 1940-46 he volunteered overseas with the Postal Corps of the Canadian Army. While part of the occupation forces, he met his wife, Ursula, who came to Canada as a war bride. They were married for 63 years. Once retired from the Post Office, Gus and Ursula shared many memorable travel adventures. He will be remembered as a beloved husband (Ursula), father (Vivien) and grand-father (Tania). A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1155 Fort St., January 6th, 2:00 p.m. 645273

Ursula, I have very fond memories of staying with you and Gustav when I was the Maid of Honour at Vivien and Pat's wedding. My heart goes out to you, Vivien, Pat and Tanya.

I will always be grateful that I took the opportunity to get to meet Mr. Arndt when I visited Victoria in 2007.
