June 1, 1951 - March 16, 2013
Born in Nanaimo, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox, BC.
Larry loved the outdoors and had a natural penchant for turning Mother Nature's bounty into beautiful gifts. From wood and soapstone carvings, delicious smoked salmon to the best wild huckleberry jelly around - he was a true pioneer. A cowboy poet at heart, words and music were at the core of his being. He never missed an opportunity to recite an original piece if the timing seemed right. Whether people knew him as "Noot", "The Mayor", "Huggy" or "Uncle Fish", his charisma, generosity and charm will surely be missed. Always true to himself, Larry lived his life his way.
Predeceased by his mother and father and many a good friend, he will be lovingly remembered by his family.
We invite friends and family to celebrate Larry's life Friday, April 26th 6-8 pm at the lower Elks Lodge, Courtenay BC. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
