BRERETON, Walter Died suddenly at home on 22 April 2013. Beloved husband of Elizabeth, brother to Janet and Stan and uncle to nieces and nephews in England. Born in Liverpool on 28 April 1922, Walter left his post as scientific glassblower at the University College, London to emigrate to Canada in 1965 to start the glassblowing shop in the Physics Department at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. He was a member of the American Scientific Glassblowers Association, New Brunswick Craft Council, participating in the Mactaquac and Christmas craft markets. He and his wife retired to Victoria in 1988. They enjoyed among other interests swimming at the Crystal Pool, travelling, cruising, delivering meals on wheels, learning Spanish and sailing. There will be a memorial service on Thursday 2 May at the McCall Bros. Funeral Home, Victoria at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be offered at "> .
