As a volunteer in the renal dialysis unit, I looked forward to seeing Don every week. His joyful presence is certainly missed.

To Eileen and family,
We hereby extend our condolances. May God give you the strengh to bear this loss.
Our relationship goes back to the mid 1950s when Don started working in the same Department at the SPC as Dirk.
A friendship developed between Don and Dirk as well as the families. We will treasure the many things that the families did together.
Don will remain in our thought and we will miss him.
Johanna & Dirk Hoogeveen.

I deeply valued my years of association with Don through the RASC and his support for public education and outreach at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory. A thoughtful, caring person, Don was passionate about astronomy and a real gentleman. I feel very fortunate to have known him, and am grateful for his many years of support and friendship.

Don is remembered for his dedication and service to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Victoria Centre members remember him as a quiet, modest man who took pride in doing things well. See our website for more memories and photos of Don: http://victoria.rasc.ca/articles/2013/dondundee.htm
